Vincent, of Deptford, had a “way of lighting up every room he walked into,” his obituary says. He loved spending time with his family and friends, driving the boat, and snacking on sunflower seeds.
Described as a snowbird, Vincent made frequent trips to Miami to escape the frigid temperatures of the north.
Above all, he leaves a legacy of compassion, empathy, and kindness for everyone he met.
“To know him, was to love him,” his memorial says. “Wherever he went, he made a friend and made everyone laugh and that is how he would want to be remembered.”
Vincent leaves behind his loving parents, Vincent and Maureen (nee Parker) Russo, Sr.; his cherished siblings, Domenique and Giavonna Russo (Shamir); his grandparents, Susanne McCann (the late John) and George Russo (the late Sophie); as well as many extended family members and close friends.
Meanwhile, more than $20,500 had been raised on a GoFundMe launched for Vincent’s final expenses as of Wednesday, Dec. 6.
“We lost our beloved Vinny Friday night,” reads the campaign, organized by Jordana Macrillo. “It was unexpected and took everyone by shock…He fought the past few years with his mental health. I wish there was better mental health services for people in need. We all will miss him so much.”

Vincent’s memorial was scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Our Lady of Hope Parish St. Agnes Church in Blackwood.
“Vinny was such a smart, vibrant, caring young man who brought such light to everyone he met,” reads one of several tributes on Vincent’s obituary.
Donations were also being made in Vincent’s loving memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
“Vincent will be remembered always,” the tribute says.
“Spread your wings, sweet boy.”
